Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a 1st shift Trailer Technician Trainee (entry level) for our site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for assisting with preventative work and general maintenance within the shop and trailers. Holiday pay Yearly performance raises Career advancement opportunities + paid training 401K & Company paid life insurance Referral bonuses and Reyes Reward program Health, dental, and vision coverage including multiple medical plans Tool & Boot annual payout Great work culture and clean facilities Financial and wellness discounts and much more Position Responsibilities:  Responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets by completing complex and detailed mechanical inspections, diagnoses, and repairs typical of technicians Complete thorough documentation for work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system Assists with the installation of trailer refrigeration, heating units, and hydraulic liftgate components Diagnoses, repairs, and installations of trailer roll-up and swing doors as well as the installation of external graphics Assist with the replacement of defective components as instructed Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree with 1 plus years of related experience Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds up to 100 pounds Must have valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement) Preferred Education and Experience:  Technical School Certification Benefits At the Reyes Family of Businesses, our Total Rewards Strategy prioritizes the holistic well-being of our employees.
