Working Hours: Full time, permanent
Role Description
To provide IT technical support to employees across the different departments and sites of the organisation. Reporting to the IT Service Delivery Engineer they will also be involved in the roll-out and implementation of new services.
Who you are
Competencies/Skills/Knowledge/Experience
+ 3rd Level Qualification in Information Technology NFQ Level 6 or equivalent
+ At least one of the following certifications: A+, Network +, MTA Networking Fundamentals, MTA Security Fundamentals
+ At least 1 years’ post qualification experience
+ Strong knowledge of MS networking technologies – Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
+ Strong knowledge of Exchange/Outlook
+ Some experience administrating switches, firewalls and routers
+ Knowledge of VPN& WAN technologies advantageous
+ PBX & VOIP technologies an advantage
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong use of initiative
+ Demonstrate the ability to plan and organise
+ High degree of flexibility
+ Good problem solver and decision maker
What the role includes?
+ Provide 1st and 2nd line support to end-users on all ICT related tasks both over the phone and at desk side
+ Assist with maintaining IT Support systems are kept up to date
+ Desktop environment including hardware (PCs, printers, mobile devices, telecoms), applications and operating systems (Windows 7, 10)
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software faults
+ Setup of new users on IT systems
+ Installation of IT hardware and software
+ Play an active role in new project as they arise and be involved in the change management process
+ Take ownership of IT projects when requested to successful completion
+ Train staff in the use of IT systems
+ Ensure confidentiality in all matters of information obtained during the course of employment
+ Present and act in a professional manner at all times
+ Be aware of current developments and keep abreast of new developments in ICT
+ Assume responsibility for his/her own professional development and safe work practice
+ Ensure a safe environment for yourself, colleagues and visitors
+ Perform such other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned from time to time by the management or a nominee
