General Purpose of the Job

Create and maintain internal payroll process documentation and Village training materials.

Essential Functions

Assists with maintaining and developing the timekeeping and payroll application training material and user guides for end-users, approvers and Payroll team.Analyze and ensure quality of documentation.Develop and coordinate training to meet the needs of the department and Village as it relates to Payroll.Understand and stay current with the department and Village processes and procedures.Assist with department meetings and maintain meeting minutes.Responsible for content and publishing Payroll newsletter.Responsible for thought provoking and inspirational weekly messages or systems tips to the department.Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required2-4 years experience desired

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of two (2) years’ experience reviewing and editing documents. Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel and PowerPoint; basic proficiency in MS Access; basic proficiency in Workday and Kronos UKG Pro Management.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, and follow-through skills.

Preferred:

Minimum of one (1) years’ experience with Kronos UKG Pro Management and Workday.  Experience with comparable timekeeping and payroll systems may be considered.Experience with process flow design and improvements.Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)

Travel: 0%

Nights/Weekends: Less than 5%

Work Environment: Level III – Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers or printers, light traffic). No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or other hazardous conditions.

Salary/ Wage Range

$19.00 - $23.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
