Summary
Responsible for the six performance domains of the athletic trainer as established by the NATABOC: 1)Prevention of athletic injuries 2)Recognition, evaluation, assessment 3) Immediate care 4)treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning 5)Organization and administration 6)Professional development and responsibility in the provision of athletic training coverage to assigned schools, events and organizations. Assists in carrying out predetermined patient related activities in the clinical setting under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist. Adheres to the NATA Code of Ethics. Skilled and proficient in applying technical principles, concepts, and techniques, which are central to the profession of Athletic Training. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health, and healing.
Directly manages the training program at the school system, will serve as the primary contact and liaison with the school's Athletic Director and responsible for developing and continuously improving the program to meet the needs of the athletic departments of which they serve.
From a medical standpoint, he/she will also be using independent judgement and discretion on a daily basis and will coordinate injuries with the physician as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Provides Immediate Care
+ Provides treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning
+ Establishes effective systems of healthcare administration to include liaising with school athletic directors to determine needs
+ Develop programs to individually meet each school's needs, and then continue to tailor as appropriate using performance improvement methodologies
+ Takes personal responsibility for professional development.
+ Completes assigned goals
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum-Bachelor's in Athletic Training
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Minimum: Athletic Training Certification; BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
Special Skills
Minimum: Basic Skills.
