PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Trainer to develop and deliver training programs that will shape the next generation of HVAC manufacturing professionals. In this pivotal role, you’ll create hands-on learning experiences, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure that every technician is equipped with the knowledge they need to succeed.
As the Trainer - HVAC Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing training programs and delivering instruction to manufacturing technicians, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety protocols, and company procedures. Your role will directly impact employee performance, operational efficiency, and compliance within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:Develop & Implement Training Programs: Create comprehensive training programs for manufacturing technicians focused on processes, safety, installation, troubleshooting, and customer service best practices.
Conduct In-Person & Virtual Training: Lead both in-person and virtual training sessions, delivering valuable content on SOPs, installation techniques, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.
Create Training Materials: Design and update training materials, including manuals, video tutorials, and presentations, ensuring content remains relevant and effective.
Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance reviews, and tests, refining content as necessary.
Provide One-on-One Coaching: Offer individualized coaching to employees needing additional support to master skills or knowledge.
Track Progress: Maintain training records and certifications, ensuring employees meet all necessary qualifications and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with Management: Work closely with supervisors and managers to identify areas for additional training or skill development.
Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep up to date with new HVAC technologies, industry regulations, and best practices to ensure training content remains relevant and compliant.
Promote Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of ongoing professional development and improvement within the team.
Required Qualifications:Education: High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Manufacturing or a related field (preferred).
Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing with prior experience as a trainer or mentor.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of AHU (Air Handling Unit) manufacturing, troubleshooting techniques, and HVAC safety practices.
Training & Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively deliver content and engage with trainees.
Organizational Skills: Ability to develop structured training programs, track employee progress, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in HVAC manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Capable of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as required.
Able to climb ladders and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
Manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination required.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
