Summary About the Position: Serves as deputy branch supervisor for training operations within the G-3 Training Division. Responsibilities Serves as the Deputy Chief of Training Operations and functional/technical supervisor military personnel, Department of the Army GS, and 1 full time contractor. Provides staff expertise with continuity and standardization in operational planning responsibilities for pre- and post-mobilization, training, and Command relationship functions. Oversees planning, development, and production of documents and events related to training in accordance with training regulations, directives, and guidance; unit operation/concept plans. Exercises delegated authority and responsibility to serve as the First Army operational lead for all Multi-Component Joint Assessments, Training Support and Synchronization Working Groups, and well as Joint Assessment Operational Pre-Planning Events. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Reviews planning policies, doctrine, and directives and provides guidance in revising or developing new plans. Reviews requirements for military commands/missions, combined arms training programs, and/or current active/reserve component relationships; Provides substantial coordination/integration with other military and/or Reserve Component (RC) commands to ensure mobilization, deployment, and/or other training objectives can be met; Reviews and plans recommendations to resolve identified problems associated with training activities; Coordinates and/or conducts conferences/meetings on training matters. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program Administration Instructor Assessment Planning and Evaluating Reading Comprehension Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
