Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Training and Transfer of Technology (“TTT”) Manager in our Bangkok office.
This is your role. What part will you play?
The Training organization of the M&E Sub-Contractor will be headed by a Training and Transfer of Technology (TTT) Manager, reporting to the Consortium’s PM Office (PMO) Manager. While remote working could be considered for a few weeks rampup period, the TTT Manager must reside full time in Bangkok. While initially a “one person central function”, during later phases of the project the TTT Manager is expected to lead one or several assistants in Bangkok, to ensure that all tasks and activities are properly attended. The core delivery elements will be a classroom based “Technology Transfer Programme” (targeted at engineering staff, and aiming at the processes of design, manufacturing, installation and T&C) and a full “Key Instructor Training” of the Concessionaire’s O&M personnel.
The TTT Manager will liaise between the Concessionaire’s Operational Readiness Team, and the Project Managers of each of the M&E subsystems (rolling stock, signaling, communications, platform screen doors, ) for which TTT services will be provided by the M&E Sub-Contractor.
The key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Support and align with the Concessionaire’s approved Training Competence Management System, for M&E systems within the limits of the Sub-contractor’s scope of works. Develop the Training Course schedules (will be continuously aligned with the Concessionaire’s Operational Readiness Team, and also included in every monthly update of the Works Programme). Coordinate the delivery of all training deliverables such as timely production of quality Training Materials and delivery of the training in accordance to the schedule. Receive, review for improvement and distribute Training & other Training related documentation received from suppliers to The Concessionaire. Supervise management and supply of feedback and records to the Concessionaire (attendance lists, summary of assessments, assessments and course evaluations). Assist, identify and coordinate the inclusion of any gap training requirements.Use your skills to move the world forward.
Experience in Railway Operations – operator’s “hands on” experience much preferred to manufacturer/supplier, or consultant. Variety and diversity of roles actually performed inside an Operator’s organization will be valued. Ability to write or adapt training management procedures in English language (templates are available, but will need to be tailored to the exact Project). Ability to review and comment O&M Manuals, prepared by others, from the user’s point of view. Technical basic understanding, as operator, of trackwork, station & tunnel M&E systems and all railway systems - particularly rolling stock, signaling (incl., ATC/ATS/ATO/ATP), communications, platform screen doors, and depot/workshop equipment. Actual experience in coordinating with Operator’s stakeholders, and deep understanding of their needs in Operational Readiness.
