About the Role
BGIS is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Training Area and Range Operator) to join our team based in Singleton, NSW. This hands-on role involves maintaining training facilities, supporting range operations, and assisting with bushfire response activities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct general maintenance of training facilities. Install and operate target systems at designated training ranges. Perform operator-level maintenance and non-technical inspections of range facilities and equipment. Report fire locations to the Range Control Officer or equivalent personnel. Provide first-response bushfire-fighting capabilities to contain or extinguish spot fires caused by range activities.

About You
We are looking for candidates with:

A current Driver's License (MR license preferred). Prior experience or knowledge in Defence range operations or as an ex-serving member (highly regarded). Proficiency in desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with the NSW Rural Fire Service (advantageous). Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
