Our benefits include: + 401K matching + PTO + Employee discount programs + Medical, dental and vision insurance + and much more The **Training Associate I** will have the responsibility for performing a variety of tasks related to learning and development in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) facility. The position requires providing classroom and laboratory training to site employees who produce and/or support Master and Working Cell Banks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills. **Responsibilities** + Trains, coaches and mentors others on basic aseptic operational techniques such as gowning, media preparation, thaw, passage and harvesting and overall systems and operations + Has performed aseptic technique and is able to identify unacceptable practices and make spot corrections to performance + Assist with developing and delivering alternative and unique training approaches + Understands and applies aseptic technique concepts + Oversee and instructs performance of aseptic technique ensuring compliance with standards + Assist with developing and delivering alternative and unique training approaches + Understands and applies aseptic technique concepts + Conducts mock or simulation sessions as means for delivering training + Perform training in the classroom and laboratory + Assist with the development and delivers instructor led training (ILT) presentations pertaining to GxP activities + Understands and is able to explain ‘why’ of acceptable and unacceptable aseptic technique practices + Ideally able to train, coach and mentor others on process specific units operations + Ideally able to identify aseptic technique gaps and opportunities and implements improvements + Understands and trains others on basic operations and functions of equipment and is able to perform basic troubleshooting + Possesses basic technical knowledge and background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, ideally in cell and gene therapy + Understands the concept of and has performed or experience with manufacturing processes and methods + Trains, coaches and mentors others on basic aseptic operational techniques such as gowning, media preparation, thaw, passage and harvesting and overall systems and operations + Has performed aseptic technique and is able to identify unacceptable practices and make spot corrections to performance + Assist with developing and delivering alternative and unique training approaches + Understands and applies aseptic technique concepts + Oversee and instructs performance of aseptic technique ensuring compliance with standards + Assist with developing and delivering alternative and unique training approaches + Understands and applies aseptic technique concepts + Conducts mock or simulation sessions as means for delivering training + Perform training in the classroom and laboratory + Assist with the development and delivers instructor led training (ILT) presentations pertaining to GxP activities + Understands and is able to explain ‘why’ of acceptable and unacceptable aseptic technique practices + Ideally able to train, coach and mentor others on process specific units operations + Ideally able to identify aseptic technique gaps and opportunities and implements improvements + Understands and trains others on basic operations and functions of equipment and is able to perform basic troubleshooting + Possesses basic technical knowledge and background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, ideally in cell and gene therapy + Understands the concept of and has performed or experience with manufacturing processes and methods **Qualifications** **Experience / Education:** + High School diploma and over 4 years of relevant experience or + Associates’/Bachelor’s (science preferred) degree with over 2 years of relevant or equivalent experience **Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:** + Ability to accurately and reproducibly perform arithmetic calculations including fractions, decimals and percentages and basic algebraic and geometric calculations + Based on work assignment, may be recommended to have medical testing in accordance with the company’s Occupational Health Program + Holiday and shift work often required based on manufacturing schedule as determined by Management + Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills + Need to be able to read, write and understand English + Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions + Must be able to work in Lab setting with Biohazards /various Chemicals + Must be able to wear appropriate PPE + Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels + Ability to stand /Sit/walk for long periods of time + Ability to Lift 40 lbs routinely + Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach + Ability to push/pull 40 lbs routinely/ often / occasionally + Clarity of vision at near and mid-ranges (less than 20 feet), depth perception and ability to identify and distinguish colors + Must be able to perform activities with repetitive motions + Ability to climb Ladders / Stairs / Scaffolding + Ability to work in variable temperatures high to freezing + Inside/outside working conditions **Our Values:** Integrity & Dedication, Working Together & Sharing Success; Do the Right Thing & Do it Right.
