Main Purpose of the Position
Facilitate and support the ongoing learning and development of our Rugby based employee’s, including but not exclusively.
becoming a learning centre champion interacting with/updating on site department managers and off site internal/external resources and professional bodies as required co-ordinate and prioritise the site training budget to achieve the business objectives measure and communicate that Training and Assessment standards are effective in meeting group standards and are being efficiently applied including tools such as the Skills Matrix ensure technical and non-technical training needs for the Rugby Plant are met including legislative requirements.Key Responsibilities
Assessment
Ensure all site colleagues are assessed to the correct standards and agreed site objectives - in line with Generic Technical Training (GTT) requirements Create new standards and assessment criteria for all technical training requirements not covered by GTT Maintain the relevant skills matrix/My learning. Create, follow, and communicate current status and progress against an annual plan to achieve the above
Training
Ensure all preparations and plans are in place and communicated as required for all aspects of compliance, technical and non-technical training on site. Liaise with the relevant site teams to ensure this is updated as required. Facilitate/support CI events and training required in line with the Ardagh Manufacturing Production System (AMPS) Ensure the necessary resources are in place to support both training plans. Facilitate any prioritisation or resolution of conflicts and gaps so that all site and external parties are aligned. Be capable of delivering effective training as required. This should include at least 4 weeks of delivered training per year to ensure self-competency is maintained. This to include induction of all new RGB colleagues Audit all training standards on site to ensure they comply with the relevant best practice. For example, SOPs, Training Documentation, physical training material Communicate any gaps and work with internal/external resources as required to produce a plan to close the gap.This should include at least 4 weeks of delivered training per year to ensure self-competency is maintained. This to include induction of all new RGB colleagues Audit all training standards on site to ensure they comply with the relevant best practice. Be the site expert for the use of My Learning and the Skills Matrix Working with central and other sites benchmark to ensure the site max mises the potential of both MyLearning and the site Skills Matrix Ensure MyLearning/Skills Matrix for RGB site activities is updated and current Ensure all tracking, monitoring and reporting is completed in a timely manner
Reporting
Ensure all site activities are measured vs an agreed and resourced plan and the results are communicated to the relevant parties Lead the site training meeting at an agreed interval. Maintain and publish KPI and actions associated to clearly show site competency and training plan progress. Site training budget. Lead the site to create and agree an annual budget for all training. Seek and Suggest improvements to increase site performance in this area Track and publish performance against the budget and agree any actions with site leadership team. Maintain and track position with training providers including SAP etc as requiredApprenticeship Programme
Be site point of contact for both Adult and Traditional Apprenticeship routes Create, update progress on each individual on the plan liaising with site and external bodies as required Ensure an effective process is in place so that site and each individual on the program gets timely feedback. Support site leadership team on the management of these individuals This includes the Technical Trainee programme or any such programme developed to increase competency
Other
Provide cover for his/her manger as required. Providing cover within the wider Rugby team as required Represent the site with external training and development bodies as required including at offsite events. Support all modifications or installations that require a training plan to be developed and delivered. Measure and report against such as per all other training. Ensure update of site documentation related to training and including SOPs is included. Support site reviews as required into standard work and processes, for example risk assessment or problem-solving processes. Responsible for management of training requisitions Sourcing of new training suppliers

Qualification/Experience
The Training Coordinator should have at least five years of experience in a similar
Role or within a coordination or a fast paced administrative role, CI experience desirable

Computer literacy and the ability to generate reports and manage via computerised data A basic knowledge of quality and hygiene systems would be advantageous Good knowledge of ISO standards Experience in presenting to large groups Good leadership, delegation, communication, organisational and influencing skills. Analytical skills to interpret numerical data Working knowledge of Health and Safety work practises A manufacturing background in a high speed, high volume continuous process Can demonstrate the ability to work precisely with strong attention to detail.
