Training Coordinator

Description We are in search of a Training Coordinator to join our team in the steel manufacturing industry located in Youngstown, Ohio. This role involves coordinating and tracking employee progression, conducting training sessions, and maintaining comprehensive records in the Learning Management System (LMS). This offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and record employee progress within the Skill Based Development program, including technical training and soft skills development.
• Regularly liaise with department leadership to provide updates on employee progression.
• Organize and conduct soft skill classified training sessions and various other training programs.
• Coordinate all shop floor training activities with the Training and Development department.
• Prepare progression documents and advancement packets for presentation to the review board.
• Schedule training sessions associated with the Skill Based Development program, including on-the-job cross training.
• Use established processes for scheduling and documenting training activities.
• Input all training rosters into the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Coordinate with on-site trainers to ensure effective and efficient training sessions.
• Utilize skills in Assertion Markup Language, CRM, e-Learning Modules, Learning Management Systems, Maps API, About Time, Communication, Compliance, Customer Service, and Disability Benefits. Requirements • Minimum of one year experience in a similar role within the steel manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Assertion Markup Language.
• Experience with CRM software.
• Familiarity with e-Learning Modules and Learning Management Systems.
• Knowledge of Maps API and 'About Time' software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in regulatory compliance and adherence to industry standards.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to manage and address client concerns.
• Knowledge of Disability Benefits.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Proactive and able to take initiative in problem-solving.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training schedules simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
