Adecco is assisting a customer in Southington who is searching for a Training Coordinator. The hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm. The rate of pay range is $29.00 - $34.00 per hour dependent on experience. If your skills match the qualifications and job duties below, please apply now!
**Qualifications:**
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required. Post secondary education in Psychology, Industrial Relations, Communications, Education or related field a plus.
• Three or more years of training experience desired.
• Previous experience in manufacturing; experience in a regulated environment preferred
Work Environment
• This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
• Work may involve close proximity to equipment. May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals. Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy and with moving equipment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
**Responsibilities:**
Position Summary
The Training Coordinator is responsible for the identification, preparation, implementation and evaluation of manufacturing training procedures. Programs are facilitated in the learning lab, production environment, or as on-the-job training demonstrations. Primary audience consists of production personnel to ensure competence to perform required operation, installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Plan and facilitate training for production personnel. This may include e-learning, classroom, one-on-one, and on-the-job training.
• Provide instruction as needed to confirm personnel are aware of the requirements and responsibilities of their position, including how and why each task is performed exactly as instructed, and the importance of plant practices.
• Issue OJT training per position requirements; track training to ensure on-time completion and administer evaluations to certify necessary competence. Provide regular reports regarding on-time completion.
• Maintain records of training as required to meet audit and review requirements.
• Work with Supervisors and Management to determine training topics that require special attention; deliver training as required and document completion.
• Assess current OJT training programs; recommend and implement changes to process/program to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of training provided. Participate in the ongoing evaluation of needs through gap analysis, direct assessment and effectiveness of training.
• Prepare agenda and create materials: course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids to be used in programs and design exercises to enhance training sessions.
• Create and maintain training matrix process to identify crucial tasks, current skills of workforce, and skills to develop to meet organizational needs. Provide recommendations for improvements. Develop or modify standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Standard work instructions.
• Work with Supervisors, OPEX and other teams as needed to implement established training plans and evaluate the training process on a periodic basis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong group presentation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels.
• Detail-oriented self-starter, capable of working independently or as a member of a team to achieve objectives.
• Strong computer skills and experience in the use or Microsoft Office. Advanced skills in Excel and Access a necessity.

**Pay Details:** $29.00 to $34.00 per hour
