Training Coordinator

The position supports the National Guard (NG) Connectedness and Relationship Education System (CARES) program, supporting National Guard clients. Works in collaboration with NG CARES leadership and other training support staff providing training oversight to customers. Courses and workshops aligned under the CARES program encompass health and wellness education for Junior Enlisted, First Line Leaders and Senior Leaders. Workshops increase self-awareness, support self-management, and teach life skills across eight dimensions, including financial, physical, emotional, intellectual, occupational, spiritual, social, and environmental wellness. Works closely with multiple stakeholders including the Government National CARES Team to support successful development, implementation and ongoing service delivery of NG CARES.

Plans, schedules, executes, and facilitates NG CARES courses.

Creates and coordinates online registration for events utilizing Army 365 and Microsoft Forms.

Works with the National CARES Team to develop and support program and training assistance for NG CARES programs.

Develops, designs and/or updates program instructor guides, participant handouts, and slides. Reviews existing curriculum and suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention to meet program needs.

Coordinates with internal/external networks to obtain resources for events, manuals, supplies and materials.

Assists with measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of the NG CARES programs using assessment methods, i.e., evaluations, surveys, observations, etc. Maintains accurate data files and records to track the program’s progress/status.

Collects, assimilates, and showcases data to objectively support lines of effort and resource funding.

Provides accurate monthly documents and reports to meet contract deliverables.

Provides additional support to training staff in day to day operations.

Identifies any risks or potential issues that may adversely affect the training delivery or participants’ experience.

Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities

3+ years of experience in developing and delivering training to a diverse audience.

Military experience is required. Experience can be gained through prior or current military service, member of a military family, or service as a military family volunteer.

Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills, combined with attention to detail.

Strong background in reporting and analysis, in support of Operational Training initiatives.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment.

Flexible work schedule including an uncommon tour of duty may be required to support and serve our military population.

Must be able to work under demanding timelines to meet deadlines.

Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and video conference tools and related program software.

Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license and a personally owned vehicle that can be utilized.

Travel required for training. Travel will include regional and national to support mobile training team events. Ability to travel up to 50%, on average.

$75,335

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
