Job Summary
Provides education and training to meet the needs of Environmental Services. Responsible for all safety records.
Responsibilities
Assesses educational needs and competencies of EVS staff. Proficient in use of HEV, Control Tex, Waste Watcher, ScrubEx, AlEX and Pitney Bowes software and pager use. Provides Education/Training and coordinates programs/sessions for janitorial, linen, mail, waste and moving departments of EVS. Coordinates with supervisors and managers to determine training levels for new employees. Work all shifts on a rotating quarterly schedule to assure procedure compliance by observing employees on the job. Coordinates EVS Orientation to include classroom and hands-on training. Conducts safety training. Keeps records/generates reports for safety, infection control, orientation, competencies, and other reports as needed. Develops and revises policies and procedures. Assures SDS sheets are kept current. Understanding of basic Digital Housekeeper functions, reports and assignments. Proficient understanding and ability to demonstrate all EVS cleaning/floor care procedures and policies. Keep up to date on all JACHO/DHEC/OSHA/DOT regulations pertaining to EVS.
Minimum Requirements
Good communication skills. High School Diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of experience in EVS, Supervision, training or teaching required. Good working knowledge of basic computer systems.Preferred Requirements
Leadership ability desired.
