From hometown retailers to major league stadiums to international shopping centers, let’s light the world one LED display at a time.   As a Trainer Developer,you will play a critical role in designing, developing, andmaintaining high-quality training courses and support resources that empower internal employees, external partners, and end-users to confidently install, configure, and maintain Daktronics products. These include displays, control systems, and other technologies. You will create structured and engaging learning experiences using instructional design principles, e-learning tools, and a variety of content formats, including interactive courses, videos, job aids, and knowledge base materials. You will also maintain and organize support pages, ensuring they are clear, up-to-date, and accessible to users. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, a passion for technology, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The training developer will create content for diverse audiences, including technical support teams, field service technicians, sales partners, and end-users. Where will I be working? You will work from your home office, with occasional travel required to the Brookings or Sioux Falls office for training-related activities. Who will I be working with? You will work closely with instructional designers, content developers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to develop and enhance training programs. You will also work independently and as part of a team, providing clear instructions and support to ensure the success of training initiatives. What will the work look like for me? Instructional Design & Course Development: + Identify appropriate learning approaches based on user demographics, roles, and learning preferences. + Apply the ADDIE model to design and develop engaging training courses and support resources. + Create interactive e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and multimedia content. Including simulation, scenario-based, branching and other interactive course authoring methods. + Design comprehensive curriculum solutions that address diverse training needs for technical and non-technical audiences. + Ensure all training aligns with Daktronics’ technical, service, and customer workflow requirements. + Utilize AI-driven tools and methodologies to enhance training content development, automate workflows, and create adaptive learning experiences Support Page Management: + Develop, maintain, and organize support pages to ensure they are user-friendly, accurate, and accessible. + Regularly update support documentation based on product changes and user feedback. + Work with stakeholders to ensure support materials align with training courses and user needs. Training Coordination & LMS Utilization: + Use the Learning Center (LMS) to publish and track training courses. + Develop knowledge base articles and support documentation for on-the-job learning. + Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and learner feedback. + Schedule and coordinate training sessions in collaboration with stakeholders. + Prepare training materials, such as guides, presentations, and instructional videos. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: + Collaborate closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, trainers, and product teams to gather content and insights for training development. + Work effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of training materials with organizational goals. + Solicit feedback and input from stakeholders throughout the instructional design process to ensure buy-in and relevance. Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance: + Conduct needs assessments and analyze feedback to identify areas for instructional improvement. + Research and incorporate emerging instructional design methodologies and technologies to enhance learning outcomes. + Stay updated on industry trends to ensure training content remains effective and relevant. Qualifications + Education:Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. + Experience & Willingness to Learn:Demonstrated experience in, or a strong eagerness to learn, designing and developing training courses and support materials. + Technical Skills:Proficiency with e-learning tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), video editing software, and LMS administration. + Organization:Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking skills. + Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly. + Collaboration:Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships. + Detail-Oriented:Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: + Familiarity with Daktronics products, technical support, or field service operations. + Knowledge of SCORM and other e-learning standards. + Background in video production, animation, or graphic design for training content. + Experience troubleshooting system issues and resolving technical problems. + Fluent in English, written and verbal. + Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. + Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position.
