***This is an onsite role and may be based out of our offices in Clinton, MS, The Woodlands, TX, Westwego, LA, or Little Rock, AR.  Those outside the area would need to relocate for this oppertunity.  Relocation assistance is available for this posting***

**This position will be tiled Technical Training Specilaist, and will be filled as a Technical Training Specialist, Sr, or Sr Lead based on educaiton, experience, and success at the trainging devleopment level**

 

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The training specialist [level] will provide technical training and training program administration services to personnel across the Enterprise. Training services include development of training courses including e-Learning, teaching courses, communicating with customers to define and prioritize their needs, developing plans and initiatives to meet customers' needs, supporting LMS administration and training program maintenance. Supporting data driven reporting and analysis specific to training program requirements and procedures. The use of Microsoft Power Bi and Learning Management Systems is a daily function to ensure the training programs are meeting the needs of the customer organizations. Responsible for the administration all phases of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) in the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess the needs of learners and create learning solutions that address business needs and supports current organizational and company objectives (Including but not limited to instructor led training, e-learning courses, video-based learning, hybrid learning environments, facilitator and participant guides, process documentation, job aids and coaching). Apply current instructional design theory, adult learning theory, and best practices to create effective learning and training opportunities. Applies A.D.D.I.E. or other development models as required for all course development projects and maintains course history information. Actively solicits feedback on programs and updates as needed; improves, training initiatives to improve training (learning) effectiveness. Applies evaluation models (such as Kirkpatrick's model of evaluation) to assure highest level of training effectiveness and analyzes existing training delivery to determine the appropriate method for future delivery. Creates curricula, training schedules, course assignments, reports in all relevant Learning Management Systems used by the training organization. Oversee, schedule, deliver, teach and/or facilitate training courses. Serve as a lead on large courseware development projects and possess a high degree of independence to produce quality learning programs. Provide timely updates and project reports as requested by department management. Collaborate with leadership and employees to identify curriculum needs to support continued workforce development. Utilize the highest level of professionalism and review/edit all produced materials to ensure they are of an excellent quality and error free; assist team members in review of their materials. Supports compliance and record keeping of training programs.  Works within Microsoft Power Bi: data analysis, reporting, metrics, and as required by the training organization. Support of training self-assessments for assigned training programs. Travel may be required (up to 50%) 

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience in one of the following areas: Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or related field of study. Highly Preferred: Master’s Degree in one of the disciplines above

 

Minimum experience required of the position

Tech Training Specialist: 2+ years of experience in the following areas: Training, Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Organizational Development, or Human Resources.  Senior Tech Training Specialist: 5+ years of experience in the following areas: Training, Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Organizational Development, or Human Resources.  Senior Lead Tech Training Specialist:   8+ years of experience in the following areas: Training, Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Organizational Development, or Human Resources. 

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Excellent verbal & written communication skills Independent thinker who is successful both working alone or on a team. Able to effectively communicate in various mediums and various styles. Candidate to have strong interpersonal skills; ability to integrate seamlessly into diverse teams. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously.  Candidate to have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Extensive working knowledge of and/or the ability to learn SuccessFactors LMS, SharePoint, and content development tools (i.e. Articulate 360, Storyline).  Knowledge of both Success Factors/Peoplesoft and VISION    Solid Understanding of Systematic Approach to Training (ADDIE) IBM Maximo working knowledge Office environment with minimal physical requirements.
