Training & Document Control Specialist
Position Summary: The Training and Document Control Specialist will collaborate closely with Materials Management handlers, specialists, supervisors, and managers to provide essential support for training and documentation within the Materials Management teams. This role is primarily focused on overseeing training documents, programs, and systems related to materials movement at the Salt Lake City site. Primary Duties: + Performs all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of the BioFire Diagnostics, LLC Quality System. + Educate colleagues and employees about company documentation laws and regulations. + Consistently update current work instruction documents for materials team to reflect accurate business practices in each area. + Work with area Managers to write new work instruction documents to ensure changes in business practices are documented correctly. + Work with area Managers to develop, maintain, and report on trends of each area. + Recommend, develop, and implement of Quality System policies, metrics, and document processes. + Assist area managers with documenting of CO/IO’s as needed. + Work with area managers to communicate status, priorities and/or problems. + Meet with management to assess the organization’s training needs. + Ensure required training documents and records are approved and stored in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. + Work with management to improve team training performance. + Identify improvements to training documents and training procedures to improve efficiency while maintaining compliance. + Support audit teams as a subject matter expert on document control, training procedures, and records. + Develop training strategies to ensure mandatory training is completed on time and to enhance Quality System understanding across the company. + Facilitate training workshops and refresher courses. + Develop and implement comprehensive evaluation methods to effectively assess knowledge retention and measure the impact of training initiatives. + Performs all other duties as assigned by your manager. Supplemental Duties: + Report to the Site Supply Chain Manager weekly on cross-training progress, WID/SOP updates, and other related topics. + Regularly meet with area managers on WID/SOP updates as necessary. + Must have and maintain a current Utah-issued Driver’s License. Training/Education/Experience: + High School Diploma. + 3+ years’ experience in a similar quality or documentation position in the medical industry. + Experience with training documents, metrics, and programs. + Previous experience working with document control and training management systems in a regulated industry. + Demonstrate results leading and managing documentation and trainings. + Expert level understanding of Quality Management Systems compliant in their area of work + Design, application, and use of management metrics. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Development of trends and measures. + Developing procedures for Quality Assurance and advising on compliance aspects of procedures for other groups. + Creating and giving training presentations. + High-level written and oral communication skills. + Ability to collaborate and interact with peers outside the MM organization. Physical Requirements: Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods. Ability to ascend/ descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
