MaintenancePOSITION PURPOSE
Performs maintenance and preventive maintenance on flight, inflight, and maintenance training equipment and ensures maximum availability via scheduled inspections and a preventive maintenance program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Performs scheduled operational checks, maintenance and preventive maintenance on flight, inflight, and maintenance training equipment.Develops, updates, coordinates, and oversees scheduled inspections and a preventive maintenance program for assigned training equipment.Maintains, administers, and updates equipment records and orders replacement parts.Available to repair training devices on-call as needed.Assists in developing, updating and deliverings Maintenance Training Department courses as assigned.Participates in the development, planning and organization of new subject training.Provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise to manager and team members.Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate is required. Basic ability to teach in classroom and hangar settings. Computer skills are required.PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two years of experience maintaining the Embraer 170/175 including avionics.Two years teaching/training experience.Experience using MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
