The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented Training Lead for our MQ-28 Ghost Bat Training team based at Amberley/Brisbane. This role will report to the MQ-28 OPS & Test Manager. Your exceptional training skills will provide you with a challenging role in a unique environment, contributing to the success of the MQ-28 program. In this challenging role, you will leverage your exceptional training and leadership skills within a unique environment. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex training programs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the training team through all phases of training development, ensuring alignment with the System Approach to Training (SADL).Task, monitor, report, and approve the training system development life cycle.Develop various contractual deliverables and participate in training verification and validation activities.Create and implement training solutions and process plans, including policies, procedures, and operational goals.Maintain and enhance the LMS capabilities, managing supplier relationships effectively.Assess customer training needs and develop proposals to meet those requirements.Provide training support for program deployments and readiness.Manage training across various disciplines for operators, maintenance personnel, and ground technicians.Understand and apply knowledge of DASR Part 147 and DASR Part 66 regulations.Have a solid understanding of Flight Management Systems.Identify resources for projects, manage suppliers technically, and lead process improvements.Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.Provide oversight and approval for technical training approaches, products, and processes.Experience in designing and executing effective training programs.Be familiar with various training methods, including mentoring, coaching, e-learning, workshops, and simulations.Exhibit exceptional skills in stakeholder management, communication, and leadership.Experience/Qualifications:
Essential:
Current or the ability to obtain NV1 Defence Security Clearance (minimum).Proven ability to lead and cultivate a high-performing team.Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively in a multi-team environment.Complete knowledge of instructional media and methods (e.g., interactive computer-based instruction, web-based instruction, instructor-led lectures, demonstrations, practical applications).Demonstrated experience in Instructional Systems Design methodology.Desirable:
Bachelor's degree with typically 10 or more years of related work experience, or 12+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.Experience conducting training in a Defence environment using SADLFamiliarity with ASDEFCON and DASR.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or an equivalent qualification.Culture: We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
