The role
As a Training Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that equip personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to security and safety incidents.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll design and implement training programs tailored to the organisation’s incident response framework including emergency preparedness and response, provide guidance and mentorship to team members and students while developing a responsive way of teaching along with varied interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Create role-specific training for incident responders, site control room operators, business support officers, incident officers, supervisors, and management. Lead and inspire teams Display excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences both internally and externally Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training programs and operational delivery Oversee the coordination of all incidents debriefs, learning and action plans


This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Capenhurst. As this is a 24/7 service there will be a requirement to work outside of office hours, evenings, and weekends so flexibility is essential.

Essential experience of the Training Manager:

Experience in training and instructional design along with proficiency in developing engaging and effective training content. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and application of Company procedures and policies.  Strong project management and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

Qualifications for the Training Manager:

Management qualification or time served experience Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) - Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or willing to complete in the first 12 months of employment.  Health and Safety qualification; IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent is desirable
 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
