Qualis is seeking a Sensor Manager Senior Training Specialist to support the Space and Missile Defense (SDM) Center of Excellence (SMDCoE) also known as the US SMD School.
SMD School (SMDS) core functions include: 1) Educate, train, and develop leaders for Space and Missile Defense operations; 2) Develop Army Doctrine for Space, High Altitude, and Global Missile Defense; 3) Develop individual and collective training tasks for Space and Missile Defense operations; 4) Train and educate the Army at large in Space and Missile Defense; and 5) Execute the US Army’s Quality Assurance Program to ensure standards are met in the education, training, and leadership development of Soldiers and Civilians. This position will provide support to the Missile Defense Training Division (MDTD).
Responsibilities• Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge of space capabilities and support to Army operations.
• Conduct training on Army Navy / Transportable Radar Surveillance (AN/TPY-2) Forward Based Mode (FBM), Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Sensor, Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), C2BMC Planner operations, and Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) operations.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain education and training in accordance with TR 350-70 series and Army accreditation standards
• Conduct research on new threats and developing Army missile defense capabilities, update existing training materials as necessary, and develop new training materials after analyzing the results of the research. Research shall include coordination with other SMDS training divisions to ensure training materials updated or developed are current, accurate, and aligned with Army School institutional training materials.
• Travel to conduct training as required.
