TRAINING SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a in the TRAINING SPECIALIST of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE. Responsibilities You will be responsible for selecting, developing, maintaining an effective training program aimed at developing employees to meet both Command needs for future leaders, career goals as well as annual training of civilians and military members. You will exercise Total Quality Leadership (TQL) and Shipyard principles to improve work processes and utilize manpower and material resources effectively and efficiently. You will develop, implement, assess and modify all aspects of leadership development and non-production Command-wide training programs. You will provide instruction in a program of training when the paramount requirement of the work is a combination of practical knowledge of methods and technical instruction, and practical knowledge of the subject matter being taught. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) applying training principles, techniques, and practices to evaluate and modify training materials and activities (e.g., Instructional System Design, training technology advancements, corporate training initiatives) in support of an organizational training program; 2) planning, organizing, or analyzing materials for an educational or training program to develop employee needs to ensure effectiveness of command's annual training for promoting leadership skills.
