Training Specialist

Job Overview Train new field service engineers (FSEs), experienced FSEs, and customers about safety, operation, maintenance, and theory of Excimer laser systems produced by Gigaphoton Inc. Use Instructional System Development (ISD) methods to produce and deliver management-approved training. Work independently or collaborate with a team to design, develop, and deliver formal training materials in a variety of styles and formats. This includes courseware content, reference materials, job aids, and exercises for training of field service engineers in the semiconductor industry. Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) on recommended training content and learning objectives so that all relevant content is included and accurate. Review and recommend edits and revisions to documents and training materials as needed to update and maintain a current and successful training program. Create presentations, quick reference materials, tutorials, user guides, and other informational materials as requested. Create new or revised materials that can be used in a variety of formats (web-based, live training, and procedures.) Collaborate with SMEs to develop learner evaluations appropriate to the training material; verify evaluations match the training's learning objectives. Create and recommend a variety of documents, procedures, tests and other training and reference materials using Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Visio; Microsoft Power Point; D2L Brightspace. Collaborate with factory training department to verify that training materials meet world-wide standards. Perform specific and limited portions of Field Service Engineer roles and responsibilities to familiarize yourself with our Excimer laser systems, and Gigaphoton USA Inc’s way of working in the field. Work with SMEs to troubleshoot, document, and solve problems that occur on training laser systems and within the training center. Learn and use proprietary, Windows based software during training and maintenance of Excimer laser systems. Work with Senior Trainer to maintain training center systems and facilities. Arrange, coordinate, facilitate, participate and/or attend meetings as requested, may include meetings with SMEs, safety, project teams, other stakeholders, co-workers, etc. Evaluate new FSE progress in a training center environment and provide additional one-on-one focused training as needed. Provide feedback on student performance to their managers. Position involves frequent walking, bending, stooping, and the ability to lift 25 lbs. Key Job Responsibilities Qualifications/Requirements

Education and Experience:

Associate Degree with emphasis on engineering related curriculum is required. Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on engineering or education related curriculum or equivalent experience is preferred.

Skills and Experience (Required):

2 years of experience in technical training, learning, and development or 3 years of experience and extensive knowledge in the semiconductor industry Intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Skills and Experience (Preferred):

Working knowledge and experience with SharePoint Experience creating content in online learning management systems (LMS) such as D2L Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting Familiarity with photolithography and other semiconductor processes Familiarity with optics and lasers Additional Information
