TRAINING SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will Initiate and plan the development of curriculum for courses in a special assigned subject or field. You will monitor work performance and consult with workers, supervisors and managers, to analyze and determine if and what generic nuclear and non nuclear training would be required. You will participate in the shipyard Lessons Learned program and work with the ship Program Analyst to review and assess training metrics for strengths and weaknesses. You will plan and conduct studies, which evaluate program achievements and student performance and prepare interpretations for results and recommendations. You will work with technical codes identifying future work, which may require new or additional training to meet the skills required of new or changing work technology such as micro processing, fiber optics, etc. You will review nuclear and non nuclear work performance, review controlling nuclear/radio-logical work instructions and regulations. You will work with all levels within the organization and with senior managers and staff from other Shipyard departments to plan, coordinate, or advise work efforts or to resolve problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Identifying production training needs to coordinate, develop or evaluate an educational program.
