Responsibilities Manages curriculum and training materials as training specialist responsible for overarching functions of NET development and management. Trains in classroom or motor pool environments using a mix of training products and hands-on training as needed. Responsible for training management such as setting up a classroom or training area, coordinating tools that are needed to execute training, tracking student attendance and participation, and managing student records. Provides mission and instructor feedback to team lead and supervisor on all mission elements. Responsible to maintain system knowledge, skills, abilities and expertise for operation and maintenance. Leads, provides input to, or assists in developing training products with oversight from team lead or supervisor. Provides overall maintenance of their assigned courses and determines the need for and initiates changes/updates in course content. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Performing maintenance needed to prepare equipment; (2) Developing lesson plans and training aids of standard operating procedures; and (3) Training of junior instructors on assigned systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Instructional Design Leadership Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
