The Job You Will Perform:
Assist in the orientation process for newly hired team members Assist with scheduling applicable leadership training sessions (supervisor training; First Line Leader; International Paper Leadership Development, Safety Leadership Training & Certification), create sign-in sheets and update rosters in the My-Learning learning management system (LMS) Create and manage spreadsheets for various reports as needed / directed Manage SharePoint site for training program Assist with maintaining department training calendar to coordinate work flow and meetings Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine training inquiries Perform clerical duties to include, but not limited to, record keeping, copying, faxing, mailing and filing Prepare training materials, name tags, sign-in sheets and other duties as required for training events Create employee badges as needed Assist with scheduling and coordination of in-person and/or off-site trainings, conferences, online and/or self-study trainings Create and modify documents such as reports, memos, letters and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database and/or other presentation software such as Microsoft Office or other programs Research pricing and purchase training equipment, materials and/or supplies as needed utilizing an approved company purchase method (i.e. Corporate Purchasing/Travel Card) Support Training and Human Resources staff in assigned projects Serve as Riverdale Mill’s subject matter expert in the Learning Management System (LMS) and the Learning Content Management System (LCMS). Perform basic and complex functions in the system; including data entry, reporting, and creation and production of e-course material
The Skills You Will Bring:
High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Training experience preferred. Ability to work effectively with current and prospective employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences Strong organization skills Demonstrated computer skills, with a high level of comfort in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience with SharePoint a plus. Comfortable under pressure, able to consistently meet deadlines, and work overtime as required Excellent attendance and punctuality Work well in a team, focusing on details, outcomes, and results Ability to exercise independent judgment, confidentiality and employ effective reasoning skills.
