Training Specialist - HRIS Specialist
Description • Serve as the primary point of contact for all training and detail oriented development inquiries from supervisors, employees, and management • Regularly provide feedback to enhance employee skills and abilities • Oversee the integration and implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) with existing software and technology, and conduct training for staff to optimize use and efficiencies • Develop and present evaluations of internal training and development programs for both managerial and non-managerial personnel • Organize training schedules and calendars in accordance with the priorities and needs of requesting business units, taking into account staff availability and planned calendars • Track and monitor all agency-wide training initiatives • Coordinate agency-wide training, propose recommendations, and suggest training policies and procedures • Identify training solutions to meet staff training and development requests, including those required by regulations • Provide continuous coaching on training issues to management staff for individual development and performance plans • Develop learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides, and lesson plans • Support, track, and review the annual performance appraisal process for the agency • Offer training support for employee Individual Development Plan (IDP) and Individual Performance Plan (IPP) initiatives and goals • Communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations in partnership with employees and management • Assist in the organization of all annual corporate events such as the All Staff Appreciation Event, Annual Business Meetings, and Holiday Events • Counsel and advise managers on suitable training and development interventions to address employee relations issues, and track and monitor progress • Assist in the development and/or presentation of cultural diversity and inclusion training/education • Provide backup support to the Employee Relations Specialist on all employee-related issues and initiatives • Stay updated on employment law, compliance and regulatory requirements related to training and development, compliance, and labor law requirements, industry trends, and effective human resources practices Requirements • Previous experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector is highly desirable. • Proficient knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) required. • Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and evaluate employee training programs. • Strong understanding of HRIS databases, systems, and procedures. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Demonstrated commitment to the values and mission of non-profit organizations.
