**Primary Purpose:** A Training Specialist Transportation focuses on delivering technical training material to transportation related crafts. Strong communication skills, written and verbal, are fundamental to achieving success in the position. A thorough understand of operating rules, policies, procedures, and learning principles is essential.
**Principle Duties:**
+ Deliver technical training through classroom facilitation, hands-on demonstrations, and simulations
+ Provide coaching and feedback to employees and trainees to empower them to reach their full potential
+ Evaluate trainees’ skills and performance
+ Review and evaluate current training materials/practices
+ Measure the effectiveness of training programs
+ Collaborate across the Human Resources department
+ Perform all course administrative functions
**Education:** Preferred Level – Bachelor’s Degree
**Required:** Conductor Certification and minimum 1 year experience
**Preferred:** Locomotive Engineer Certification; RCO
**Skills and Abilities:**
+ Strong communication

+ Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
+ Proficient planning and time management
+ Ability to convey complex information simply and concisely
