Job DescriptionTraining Division, Deputy Chief
XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training for Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training for Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training for Divisions and Corps in training environments in Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).
HOW THE TRAINING SUPPORT LEAD II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Coordinates Training Division support and ELM contributions.
Coordinates the delivery of Individual and Collective training based on C2IS course and exercise plans through coordination with unit and government leadership.Schedules, synchronizes and deconflicts Individual, Intel and Collective training.Maintains complete understanding and expert application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.Coordinates Event / Exercise lifecycle management (planning, preparation, execution and recovery, AAR).Supports Unit Commander’s Training Objectives by developing training methods and materials such as curriculum, lectures, and computer-based training aids based on consultation with client / user specifications.Leads consultation with users to design, create, and configure systems to meet their training requirements.Coordinates the ongoing operations and futures developments of the Training Division.Coordinates the development of training environments that are unique to unit training requirements.Maintains complete understanding and expert application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.Coordinates the delivery of small, medium and large collective training events / exercises in accordance with the established MTC training program.Designs the integration of requisite C2IS and Simulation/Stimulation capabilities within training environments.Responsible for team compliance with GDIT and MTC policies.Supervisory duties such as, approving subordinates’ timecards, tracking GDIT yearly goal progress, approving request for leave, and subordinate execution and development.Leads internal AARs upon completion of training and presents recommendations for improvements.Submits required training reports on time.Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required to support customer requirements.Coordinates Operation Readiness Tests (ORT) for C2IS software updates and emergent capabilities
Coordinates efforts to configure, test, validate and document the integration requirements for C2IS and Simulations capabilities.Provides technical risk mitigation throughout the MTC systems’ architecture by ensuring compliance with configuration management procedural guidance.Ensures that MTC C2IS and LVC capabilities align with customer requirements.Provides recommendations for new capability adoption within the MTC.Coordinates Training Division Support to the MTC’s Training Support Package (TSP).
Leads the development of TSP products that include comprehensive operational procedures for an integrated federation of C2IS and simulation / stimulation systems. These products include but are not limited to Programs of Instruction (POI) and Sequences of Instruction (SOI), Capability Documents (CD), Integration Support Documents (ISD) and Event Lifecycle Management (ELM) materials.Provides guidance for training, integration and simulation/stimulation support within the following Functional Areas: Common, Integration, Maneuver, Intelligence, Fires, ADAM, Sustainment and Visualization.Coordinates the Professional Development and Certification Program (PDCP) training tracks.
Maintains status of Instructor and Trainer PDCP tracks.Responsible for the professional development and certification of subordinate personnel.Ensures compliance of all training personnel.Provides reports in a timely manner.Coordinates Training Division Equipment
Responsible for maintaining accountability / inventory for all TD Government issued equipment.Documents equipment serviceability and coordinates for new equipment receipt and maintenance on current equipment.Provides equipment requirements based on unit systems architectures and simulation control plans.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education/Experience Requirement: BS/BA DegreeExperience: 5+ years of relevant experience at the Battalion or higher.Technical Experience: Expert knowledge of and experience with Army constructive models and simulationsDemonstrated experience controlling medium to large unit training events and operations for MTC or similar organizations.Demonstrated experience with military training and training support at the Brigade or higher level.Demonstrated experience in operations and training requirements at Division or higher level.Demonstrated experience executing Mission Command training at battalion command level or higher.Extensive knowledge of virtual training simulators, constructive simulations, and with Army Games for TrainingExpertise with Army Mission command Systems / platforms and systems integrationSecurity Clearance: Current TOP SECRET required.Required Skills and Ability:Graduated the Army Command & General Staff College (CGSC) (to include Intermediate Level Education (ILE) or equivalent level military schooling).Three (3) years of experience in the Management of project, program, or site of similar size, scope, and complexityLocation: Fort Liberty NC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements. Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)
