Responsibilities Plan and direct Training Support Center Operations. Review, validates and processes requests for TSC activity authorization (i.e. establishment, expansion, disestablishment) and changes in such authorization. Review, monitors, and validates TSC Activity organizations and facilities. Provide staff management oversight of TADSS activities within the MACOM/FOA/installation/activity. Serve as Contracting Officer's Representative on contracts involving TADSS (including MILES) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS). Performs personnel management functions. Establish internal personnel policies and procedures. Develop job elements, tasks and standards and evaluates performance of subordinates. Training Support Center (TSC) Manager who plans, coordinates, organizes and controls the operations and activities of the TSC. Manage the receipt, storage, and issue of training devices, maintenance of training device equipment instruction; and all other activities, services, and equipment related to the family of TADSS. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing advice and services on the use of Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) products and services of the instructional program; and recommending solutions to resolve specific training problems to improve efficiency of training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Program Management Reading Comprehension Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
