We are looking for a Trait Introgression (TI) Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC.

As a Trait Introgression Manager you will manage introgression activities performed globally, ensuring that they meet the elite event selection criteria for assigned projects. The successful execution of this process is crucial for Phases 2-3 of Trait Development and supports various aspects such as research and development trial activities globally, production and trial activities in counter-season locations, global regulatory approval requirements, and regulatory science functions.
**As a Trait Introgression Manager, you create chemistry by...**
+ Being accountable for continual develop of program and directing trait introgression activities for multiple traits and/or crops, as assigned, to create seed necessary for testing elite events in targeted maturity groups; and coordinating with Greenhouse Operations Supervisor to ensure space availability and consumable resource availability; Contribute to pre-project team by providing input for development of macro timelines, introgression planning and budget and resource analyses; Effectively communicate program advancements and research findings to management and to project teams;
+ Interacting with Trait Development Manager to ensure all criteria are identified and executed for trait selection process and organize quality control testing and molecular analysis for maintaining trait purity and maximum capture of recurrent parent per crossing generation and maintain accurate records of results;
+ Participating in recruitment, training, and leading scientific team to ensure innovative and consistent progress is made in soybean introgression, including implementation of new methodologies and project deliverables within agreed timelines;
+ Tracking and maintain all pedigree, generation, stocks, etc. information in CERES database;
+ Coordinating with Crop Analytics and Crop Genetics to develop appropriate trait detection and MABC strategy for TI projects to optimize efficiency and for method development;
**If you have...**
+ Ph.D. in agronomy, plant breeding, genetics, or related field with 4 years of experience, OR
+ M.S. in agronomy, plant breeding, genetics, or related field with 6 years of experience, OR
+ B.A. with more than 8 years of breeding and molecular genetics experience
+ Current knowledge of introgression, crossing, and production—gain per cycle, agronomic practices
+ Experience in relevant agricultural sciences, preferably in at least one of the following crops: Cotton, Rice, Corn, Canola or Soybean
+ Up to 10% travel, domestic and international
