The Transaction Management Associate Director will be responsible for leading and strategic direction of the Transaction Management Group within the Western Alliance Trust Company. The candidate will represent the trust company in document negotiation with all deal parties. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the team who completes the account onboarding, including but not limited to setting up accounts in our trust accounting system, process KYC, setup tax data. The Transaction Management Associate Director will interact directly with the WAL Legal Group on all matters regarding legal issues, document standards and interactions between internal and external legal parties. The Transaction Management Associate Director will actively interact with clients to build relationships and ensure clients have a positive view of the trust company as it relates to account onboarding/deal negotiation.What we are looking for:
Lead a team of transaction managers and analysts within the Transaction Management Group.
Build relationships with clients and other deal parties.
Ensure governing documents adhere to the document standards. Consult with internal and external legal as needed to resolve any issues or revise document standards.
Act as the point of escalation for any deal onboarding issues.
Ensure the Transaction Management team fulfills their deal onboarding responsibilities in a timely manner. Confirm the team is very responsive to all deal parties.
Ensure the Transaction Management Group is following all trust company and bank procedures and policies.
Lead or delegate weekly deal status update meetings for all upcoming deal closings
When applicable convene the Business Acceptance Committee to present deals that require committee approval.
Interact with CT Operations and Client Service Teams to ensure new deals are able to be supported operationally.
Work with the FCC team to streamline the KYC process and stay abreast of any changes to the KYC process.
Stay current on industry developments including regulatory changes, new business trends, etc.
Testing of the account opening process and procedures for sufficiency
Perform steps to open accounts including KYC onboarding, EDD if needed, and GWES setup.
Setup of ticklers based on deal level governing documents as well as CT policies.
Review and update procedures applicable to the Transaction Management Group
Support on Tax for clients
May have direct reports
Qualifications
College graduate degree preferred, 10 years of direct, related or similar work experience
Ability to speak, listen, see (with or without correction)
Strong speaking and writing skills for internal and external audiences (ex: sales, business development or leadership)
Proficient in multi-tasking in a team-oriented environment and focused on the highest standards of client service.
Ability to use a variety of computer related equipment
Ability to read legal documents or instruments, engage in detailed work, problem solving, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal communication, written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, training others, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions
