Purpose of Role
The Transactional Finance Manager , reporting to the European Finance SSC Director is responsible to lead the Transactional Finance team (9) based in our Cognizant Budapest office for activities across Europe. Client and stakeholder focused, resilient and determined individual who can motivate a team into meeting tight deadlines.
The Transactional Finance Manager will communicate regularly with people from different countries and cultures at all levels (Finance Onsite, Stock Admin, Tax, Internal audit). The position provides a great opportunity to understand how the company works and what it does.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and management of the transactional finance team Responsible for training, motivation, and development of the team. Lead the transition of European Transactional Finance processes to the Budapest Finance SSC Prepare monthly timetable for all TF activities Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Analyze and improve the financial processes within the organization Manage the successful handover and go live of the processes. Define KPIs and SLAs to measure efficiency Build & maintain strong working relationships with Key Business Partners ( Finance Onsite, Stock Admin, Tax, Internal audit) Responsible for Journal preparation, review & entry Preparation & review of balance sheet Preparation & review of Intercompany and bank reconciliations. Investigation of any mismatches Preparation & review of monthly/quarterly VAT returns Arrange meetings with relevant teams to resolve ongoing queries Help Collate data for internal/external audit Identify opportunities for automations and standardisation Be the central point of contact for all European audit queries Provide cover for team & management when required Act as the initial point of contact for all escalations Ad hoc duties and special projects as requested by management.

Functional Prerequisites
Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance In depth experience within a financial environment (preferably a multinational environment) Language skills: Fluent written and spoken English & Hungarian is essential. Computer Literate, especially Microsoft platforms & focus on Excel Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principlesPlease apply online
