We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring. Summary:   The Transactions Manager is responsible for working within the Construction Transactions Team, which is part of the larger Commercial Group, whose responsibility is to work with the business development team to bring in the new construction business in the Wind, Solar, and Energy Storage fields that RES participates in. The group primarily works on (and closes) Construction Agreements (BOP and EPC), key Supply and O&M Agreements, and all accompanying exhibits. The Transactions Manager is a subject matter expert regarding RES stage gate policies and procedures and provides guidance to Sr. Contract Managers, Contracts Managers, and Contracts Associates in this respect. The Transactions Manager is also a subject matter expert regarding contractual positions that are acceptable to the RES board and provides guidance and recommendations to the Construction Transactions Team in this respect. The Transactions Manager, with the support of direct report(s), will be primarily focused on facilitating the cross-functional review, transmittal to/from client of the main EPC/BOS/BOP agreement document and negotiation all contract provisions and contract exhibits. The Transactions Manager will ensure that the appropriate cross-functional review of all contract documents occurs and, if a Contracts Manager and/or a Contracts Associate is assigned to support the contract exhibit process, will guide team members in following RES policies and procedure in this respect.

Requirements:    Leads cross-functional teams to close new construction contracts, focusing on negotiating and solving key commercial, legal, and technical issues. Identifies or approves use of previous contracts as the basis of negotiation, as applicable.Manages key client interface starting at handoff from business development until construction team takeover at contract closure.Directs coordination and interaction with multiple internal organizations, including Construction, engineering, development, legal, insurance, tax, procurement, project controls, estimating, and other business areas as needed.Provides general oversight and guidance of the exhibit process led by the Contracts Manager or Contract Associate and supported by the Sr. Contracts Manager.Manages the contract closure process, including stage gate reviews, drafting board presentation papers, kickoff meetings, coordinating internal and external follow-on meetings, document control, and other pertinent steps.Sets and supports team daily, weekly, and monthly priorities.Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.Additional Responsibilities: Supports supply chain technology, asset management, or development transactions as necessary.Safety: Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working.Accountable to continually reinforce safe behaviors and correct “at risk” behaviors.Adheres to and ensures all site team members understands standard operating procedures.Leads and supports the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing system in place.Leadership:  Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.May manage one or more direct reports.Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team.Communicates regularly with direct reports on goals, accomplishments, and information on policies.Demonstrates leadership and expertise in eyes of client group.Employee Development:Provides tasks and assignments that challenge and stretch employees’ responsibilities.Conducts regular discussions with employee(s) on personal development. Comfortable with empowering others.Conducts timely, effective performance reviews in accordance with RES guidelines.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, legal or construction/technical related field or equivalent (8 years of experience in similar position with field construction, engineering or another technical area/military) required.Master's degree in business, engineering, legal or construction/technical related field preferred.6 or more years' experience in a contract management role or similar required.1 or more years of supervisory experience preferred.Ability to travel 16 to 30% domestically required.Highly organized and capable of hitting the ground running, working independently with minimal supervision, and have a solid ability to multitask.Experience creating an environment of knowledge sharing and collaboration.Ability to maximize efficiency and production of direct report(s).Focus on employee development and mentorship.Advanced project management and cross-functional team coordination skills.Problem-solving capacity for complex technical, commercial, and legal issues.Understanding of construction contract terms and ability to integrate with exhibits while recognizing discrepancies.Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Office) including preparation of contract redlines in Word, ability to interpret large sets of data, manipulate charts, graphs, pivot tables, and utilize conditional formatting in Excel. Advanced skill in interpreting project schedules and determining level of project schedule risk.Track record of building trust and credibility and managing relationships with external contacts to achieve business results.Experience in facilitating team understanding of client and market needs.Functional competencies include collaboration, accountability, business acumen, attention to detail, and customer focus.Anticipated base salary range:  $116,000 - $160,000 The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
