Job Description

The Transactions Specialist (Operations Associate Contractor) role is responsible for assisting in donor and non-profit conversations and processing financial transactions in our recordkeeping system. This role involves working with donors, charities, and staff members to facilitate donor requests. You will be trained in several operation disciplines and work in various areas as workload requires.

ResponsibilitiesComplete routine data entry for financial transactions (contributions, grants, exchanges) and account informationMaintain an understanding of VC and IRS approved charitable donation policies and practicesApply general knowledge of assigned transactions upon successful completion of trainingSupport and sort inbound and outbound mail proceduresSupport transactional processes related to delivery of a grant, via check or electronicallyRespond to inbound calls and emails from clients and charitiesAchieve and maintain a high level of accuracy with functional skills, desktop applications, and appropriate workplace equipmentDemonstrate a good proficiency and understanding of VC’s policies and guidelines for clientsPossess a high level of professionalism and customer serviceProvide back-up and support team members as neededSupport continuous improvement by providing feedback as applicableExercise the highest level of confidentiality and discretion with client and account informationOther duties as assignedEssential SkillsBachelor's degree in business, economics, or finance obtained in 2021 or more recentInternship experience or experience within a customer-facing setting (e.g., hospitality, banking, collections, financial planning, loan processing, B2B)Proficiency in accountingExperience in customer support and client serviceProficiency in ExcelBusiness planning skillsStrong customer service skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a non-profit setting is advantageousWork Environment

This team consists of 15 members and requires onsite work 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). The role entails a 37.5-hour work week. During November and December, increased business hours and overtime may be required. Candidates must provide holiday/vacation requests prior to interviewing, which could impact candidate selection. The worksite is located at 45 Liberty Boulevard, Malvern, PA. The role offers a friendly and engaging atmosphere with the opportunity for extension or potential conversion after 6+ months in the role. This is a hybrid position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
