Transcribes dictation by physicians within the Radiology department generating radiology reports to ensure accurate diagnostic information is available to physicians in an efficient manner. Qualifications: Requires HSD/ GED and two (2) years of college or technical training in medical transcription . One to two years transcription experience.Knowledge of medical terminology and transcription. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at computer work-station with continuous use of earphones, foot control, keyboard, and transcription machine. Must be able to concentrate on detailed work for prolonged periods of time; perform eye, hand, and auditory coordination; see objects closely, and hear normal sounds with some background noise.
