Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit In support of the mission of UNC Greensboro, the University Registrar’s Office fosters student success and cultivates exemplary student experiences for all University constituents related to academic records, policies, and regulations. Position Summary The Transfer Credit and Articulation Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and entering transfer credit equivalencies for UNC Greensboro. The Transfer Credit and Articulation Analyst operates under the guidance of the Assistant Registrar for Operations and Student Services within the University Registrar’s Office. Collaborating closely with the Undergraduate Admissions team, the Transfer Credit and Articulation Analyst executes the transfer articulation process and ensures adherence to statewide policies and mandates. This position will work closely with faculty and departments to support the development of articulations that align with the UNC System and the NC Community College articulation agreements and degree planning processes.

Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and/or one year of related experience in admissions, transfer, student services within a college setting, or student information systems. Adhere to UNC System mandates on the time frame for completion of transfer credit.Currently: Essential Tasks Manage the process of evaluation of equivalencies by either sending the course information to academic colleges for evaluation or using research and professional judgment and discretion to determine equivalencies. Coordinate the solicitation and review of course syllabi and supporting materials by faculty and academic colleagues when needed. Enter all equivalencies into Banner, the student information system. Understand the UNCG, UNC System, and the NC Community College transfer credit policies in-depth in order to evaluate credit accurately. Complete articulations in the UNC System mandated timeframe. Key Responsibility Continually build and maintain the transfer credit dictionary/tables in Banner. Ensure compliance with statewide transfer initiatives like the CAA and military transfer initiatives, bilateral agreements, 2+2 agreements, or other standardized agreements. Essential Tasks Ensure that the credit being evaluated is built into the transfer credit database/dictionary in Banner. Facilitate UNC Greensboro’s participation in statewide transfer equivalency guarantees, including but not limited to Common Articulation Agreements and military transfer initiatives. Utilize extensive understanding of UNCG General Education requirements to develop and maintain transfer credit equivalency guides for specific sources of frequent external credit, including NC Community College’s common course catalog, test credit, and international transfer credit.
