Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Position type: Permanent, office based.

 

Our client is a well-established economics advisory firm that specialises in providing clients strategic advice, industry and regulatory insights, benchmarking, and risk analyses.

 

The team is expanding and is looking for a candidate with a strong academic record to join them as a Junior Transfer Pricing Consultant. The firm is astute and well recognised within the industry and they strive to remain the best transfer pricing team in South Africa.

 

Position Overview:

 

The successful consultant candidate will have the opportunity to gain insights into international value chains of large multinational enterprises, while developing skills in the areas of Transfer Pricing, Client and Project Management.

Essential Skills:

The Consultant candidate must:

Be analytical and be able to review large quantities of information and data to extrapolate core concepts and ideas. Be able to identify problems and formulate creative solutions. Have the ability to take ownership and show initiative. Have the ability to perform thorough research, gather and collate important data, and present it in a well-structured, efficient, and clear manner. Be eager to learn and understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration. Be able to work on instruction, be deadline driven and organised.

 

Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required:

 

Strong academic records (both secondary and tertiary) will be required, and average of 70% or more will be considered suitable. Postgraduate/Honours level qualification. A completed Bachelor of Laws or a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Tax, Accounting, Economics, or any related field is essential. A minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in a corporate environment related to tax. CV and copies of academic records required.
