It is your responsibility also to apply for the permanent recruitment if it is open for applications, as search committees may not view and/or consider this request. Transfer requests are to completed by Contract Classified SDCCD employees desiring to transfer to an identical job title at another location or department. Transfer requests will be placed on the transfer list for one year from the date of application. Refer to the CBA for more information on Transfers. You will be contacted by telephone or email if there are any questions or concerns. Reinstatement requests for Classified Employment must be made no later than 39 months after the effective date of your separation or leave from a permanent position in the District. Requests will be removed from the list when an assignment is accepted. Additionally, for transfer requests, it will be removed if your employment with SDCCD is terminated. Desired Qualifications Foreign Degree: Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services ( NACES ) (http://www.naces.org/members.html) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC .( ACEI ) (https://www.acei-global.org/evaluation-services/) . A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your on-line application. Tentative Timeline (Subject to Amendments) Conditions of Employment: SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT : Submit “official” transcripts as stated on application (From all institutions listed in the online application); Pass a pre-employment physical exam at the District’s expense (if applicable); Provide a Tuberculosis Clearance Certificate for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment) (if applicable); Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer at the candidate’s expense (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment) (if applicable); Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States as required by the I9 Employment Eligibility Verification form (if applicable); AND Attend an onboarding appointment in People, Culture, and Technology Services located at the District Administrative Offices. EMPLOYMENT AFTER RETIREMENT If you accept a contract (permanent) position with SDCCD and are a retired annuitant with CalPERS or CalSTRS, you must reinstate from your retirement system.
