This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements. + Pressure washing carts and garbage trucks + Site cleanup/ litter pick-up + Helping and interacting with customers + Customer Service + Covering Scale house as needed for breaks or callouts + Taking payments + Manual labor including landscaping/ weed eating + Greet and direct customers upon entry to transfer station + Calculate payments for customers + Input weight information into system for customer payments + Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material + Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner + Various other utility tasks as needed + Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change **POSITION REQUIREMENTS:** + **Must have a valid Driver’s license and good driving record.** + At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position. + Experience operating equipment is a plus + Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift + Mechanical ability a plus. + The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift. **WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:** + Exposed to different weather year round. + Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. + Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects of up to 50 lbs. + Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus. + Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
