Transformation Director - Digital Procurement Strategy
Overview This role will drive the digital transformation strategy in procurement to deliver $400 million in savings over three years, with $50 billion in scope across indirect, direct, and logistics spend at PepsiCo. It will require strong leadership acumen to lead transformation across multiple procurement streams, including supplier relationship management, supplier risk management, supplier scouting, supplier sustainability, advanced sourcing capabilities, new AI direct negotiation platforms, orchestration layers, and AI-enabled assistants, agents, and copilots. Advanced procurement functional expertise is paramount to identify procurement capabilities which require digital enablement and establish strategy for seamless integration of these capabilities within an end-to-end (E2E) S2P ecosystem. Each capability’s scope involves a comprehensive assessment of global functional needs, encompassing over 20 functional and non-functional requirements per stream. This requires a profound understanding of the procurement landscape, processes, and technological evolution. This role will evolve our digital strategy in partnership not only with external industry experts but also with internal procurement teams to understand the evolving business needs and connect them to the deliverables from digital procurement. Through workshops, strategy sessions, and other means, this role will provide thought leadership in designing new ways of working and influence stakeholders to drive a growth mindset, curiosity, and adoption of technological enablers. Additionally, this role will work in a cross-functional environment with the Tech Innovation team, Finance, and Strategy to build new business cases, provide recommendations for new digital capabilities, and secure alignment from the executive leadership of S&T and Procurement. Responsibilities Lead digital procurement strategy across multiple streams in procurement, validate differentiated capabilities and match functional gaps Identify integration points by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain, and Automation within the 7-step sourcing process to enhance efficiency and innovation. Drive continuous improvementby analyzing current sourcing procedures to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Develop advanced reporting solutionsusing cutting-edge technological tools and software to provide actionable insights. Test and build robust business casesto evaluate and prioritize proposals for digitalizing procurement value streams. Lead and oversee the implementationof digitalization projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and successful execution. Foster collaborationwith the Global Procurement Team, PGT Team, S&T Team, Capability Teams, and Value Realization Teams to maximize the value of new capabilities and transform data into actionable insights. Coordinate with deployment teamsto ensure the proper maintenance and continuous enhancement of developed solutions. Prioritize and identify potential solutionsby staying abreast of the latest market trends and technological advancements. Define and manage the pipelinefor upcoming initiatives, ensuring a strategic approach to future projects. Ensure high levels of user satisfactionby developing and implementing plans for continuous improvement. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,900 - $249,900. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually. and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.
