What you'll do:

Strategic Alignment & Leadership:

Define, structure, and manage transformation programs that align with Vonage’s strategic priorities, particularly focusing on our API-driven communication platforms. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that program goals contribute to business success, with a particular focus on the optimization of Vonage’s API solutions. Act as the primary advisor to executives on program performance, risks, and mitigation strategies, ensuring continuous improvement in program delivery.

Program Execution & Governance:

Develop and implement program management frameworks, ensuring effective governance and risk management aligned with industry best practices. Oversee the coordination of multiple interdependent projects to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery, especially for API integrations across multiple business units. Continuously monitor progress, dependencies, and key performance indicators to drive accountability and outcomes. Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep the transformation on track, ensuring our API solutions evolve and remain industry-leading.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

Provide regular program updates to the Leadership Team (LT), including reporting on financials, benefits realization, and milestones. Partner with key business units and functional leaders to drive cross-departmental collaboration and alignment, particularly in the adoption of Vonage’s API offerings. Create and execute a robust communication strategy to ensure transparency, engagement, and buy-in across all levels of the organization.

Change Management & Organizational Impact:

Lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working, especially in relation to Vonage’s API infrastructure. Develop and deliver training, workshops, and engagement sessions to support teams through transformation and API-driven projects. Identify cultural and operational impacts of transformation and implement measures to address challenges proactively.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices:

Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices from previous transformations and API integrations. Stay up to date on industry trends, methodologies, and tools that enhance program management and organizational transformation. Build and mentor a strong network of change agents across the company to embed transformation capabilities within Vonage’s culture.

 

What you'll bring:

10+ years of experience in program management and large-scale transformations within complex organizations, ideally with a focus on API-driven technologies. Proven track record of delivering strategic transformation initiatives with measurable business impact, especially within cloud-based communications solutions. Strong background in both strategic program management and tactical project execution. Extensive experience in stakeholder management, including engagement with senior executives and cross-functional teams. Deep understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and financial oversight of large programs. Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complexity and ambiguity. Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Monday.com) and frameworks (e.g., Agile, SAFe, PMP, PgMP).

A passion for driving transformation and innovation in an API-centric environment. A strong track record in managing and delivering large-scale programs and driving change within tech-focused organizations. Experience in leading API-driven transformation programs, ideally within the communications or tech industry. Demonstrated expertise in cross-functional collaboration and high-level communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
