Transformation Strategy and Innovation Senior Manager

The role:

This role will be crucial in crafting the transformation to Build a Better BA and ensuring that the transformation will deliver the improvements needed to meet our vision and performance aspirations across financial, operational, customer, colleague and sustainability. This role will lead a team to 1) problem solve key issues across Directorates, 2) support ideation and 3) innovation.

What you’ll do:

Work with senior leaders across BA to craft our transformation roadmap to ensure alignment between our initiatives and our objectives.Support efforts to identify gaps, risks and opportunities within the Transformation plan; enabled by quantitative insights and a strong network.Plan and lead cross-directorate diagnostic activity, using a range of approaches including desk research, data analysis, process/activity mapping, stakeholder interviews, collaborative workshops etc.Coordinate work across supporting functions (e.g. Finance, Digital, People, Procurement ec) to provide rapid and accurate prioritisation of issues and opportunitiesSupport innovation by bringing relevant ideas from across IAG and external insights to BA.Design transformation initiatives, particularly those that involve multiple Directorates, including coordinating a plan, governance model and project start-upEnsure effective handover of new initiatives to Delivery Resources; maintaining an ongoing relationship to ensure original problem is solvedIdentify and develop appropriate key performance indicators (critical metrics) for new transformation initiatives at the outsetPrepare reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders to communicate updates relating to issues, ideation and innovation

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

Demonstrable experience of problem solving in a complex environmentAbility to effectively lead and empower individuals & teams (direct/indirect), working collaboratively to delivery results.Good individual and team managementAbility to work under pressure and handle specific and often unique issues crafting relevant clarity in areas of ambiguity to enable decision makingAbility to implement plans to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.Ability to develop and implement ideas that benefit our business, using your internal and external insightFinancial acuity, understanding of financial principles to evaluate the economic impact of transformation initiatives and lead budgets effectively.Familiarity with digital tools and technologies that support transformation efforts, including data analytics and process automation.Willingness to new ideas and approaches, with the ability to drive innovation within the organization.Sensitivity to organizational culture and the ability to navigate and influence cultural shifts necessary for transformation.Your experience:Degree qualification or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.Experience in a Management Consultancy is advantageous but not essential.Experience in shaping of strategic change is essentialWhat we offer:
