Job Description:
Position is responsible for providing transportation services for students, faculty/staff and visitors of Ohio University to include scheduled university routes, on-demand transportation resources, accessibility transport, special event accommodations and chartered travel. Position focuses on providing excellent customer service and safe, efficient and reliable transport to customers with adherence to all university, state and federal laws and regulations.
Job Duties include:
1. Operates transportation services for students, faculty/staff and visitors of Ohio University to include scheduled university routes on-demand transportation resources, accessibility transport, special event accommodations, and chartered travel. Provides superior customer service and safe, efficient transport to customers with adherence to all university, state, and federal laws and regulations. Assists with handling of equipment/luggage, materials & supplies. Performs routine vehicle inspection activities and maintains proper transportation documentation to ensure compliance with all position requirements. May assist with routing planning for chartered travel.
2. Assists with transportation dispatching and ride request scheduling as needed based on transportation request demand utilizing scheduling software to meet campus transportation needs.
3. Responsible for cleaning, inspecting and general maintenance duties associated with university fleet to include washing and fueling of vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
+ Skill in operation and maintenance of motor vehicles is required. Candidates must demonstrate a safe driving record and pass required physicals, background checks, and drug/alcohol screenings during course of employment. A valid Class B Commercial Drivers License ( CDL ) with passenger and airbrake endorsements is required or must be obtained within 60 days of employment.

Advertised Salary:
Target salary range is $12.99-$16.25 commensurate with education and experience.
A one-time Retention Bonus Opportunity of $750 is available and will be discussed at time of hire.
