This role involves gathering and evaluating pertinent data, processing reports, and preparing summaries using queries, charts, and graphs to support decision-making. The analyst is responsible for collecting and managing data for charts and narrative copy from stakeholders to update the monthly NYCT committee book, ensuring data accuracy and copy editing as needed. Additionally, they process and track incoming Inspector General (IG) complaints through Cassie, ensuring proper documentation, review, and resolution. The role also includes administering the reconciliation of procurement cards, verifying transactions, and ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. Other duties include assisting in tracking follow-up actions, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and providing backup support for administrative staff. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II: + A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or + A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above. Associate Transit Management Analyst: + A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or + A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry. Desired Skills: + Strong communication skills. + Proficiency in the use Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Tableau, Power BI applications. + Strong writing, research, and interpretation skills. + Ability to function independently with limited work direction. + Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Selection Method: Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
