KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for KBR employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

The MSEIT effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC). We acquire state of the art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:

Provide expertise in system acquisition and transition to operations/sustainment planning, scheduling, analysis, requirements verification, evaluating technical documentation, and integration for SATCOM programs in the acquisition lifecycleLead and manage system transition to operations/sustainment process and activities, facilitate timely OA/IOC criteria development and closure, and collect artifacts, assess system modifications/upgrades/changes, evaluate transition readiness against requirements and schedules, monitor progress, identify/assess deficiencies and potential risks, document transition lessons learned for process improvement, and report status with recommendations to the Program OfficeLead site activation planning and execution for beddown and transition to operationsCoordinate with Program Office, SpOC, SSC/CGX, and Delta 8 on such things as, but not limited to, facilities locations, infrastructure, and acquire/install furniture/equipmentParticipate in site survey planning and executionParticipate in Facility Utilization Board (FUB) planning/execution to acquire PATSOC Support Center spaceEvaluate Protected Tactical Waveform over Commercial (PTWoC) Program-related documentation and coordinate with SpOC to plan/execute transition to operations and define OA, IOC, or FOC requirementsDevelop and/or evaluate various life cycle documentation to include, but not limited to: project reports, briefings, System Transition Plans, Operational Acceptance (OA) and Initial Operational Capability (IOC) Plans, Materiel Fielding Plans (MFP), OA/IOC criteria, Integrated Schedules, Agreements, Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, Manpower Estimate Report (MER), etc.Participate in and/or facilitate transition planning forums and working groups to include, but not limited to: Transition Management Working Group (TMWG), Integration meetings, Training Planning Team, technical design reviews, etc.Provide Protected Tactical SATCOM (PTS) Acquisition Logistics support to include, but not limited to, developing Logistics documentsCreate and manage electronic databasesTravel: approximately 5%

Required:

Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearanceBachelor’s Degree7+ years’ experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle management and/or operations (5+ years, if hold a technical BS degree)Proficiency with Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (DoDI 5000 series)Proficiency with Integrated Life Cycle Management (DAFI 63-101/20-101)Proficiency with System transition to operations and supportKnowledge of 12 Integrated Product Support ElementsProficient with Requirements managementProficiency in writing acquisition technical documentationProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders Program Office and/or HQ Space Operations Command (previous HQ AFSPC) process experienceSatellite communications operations experienceExperience in weapon system transition to operations and support (Operational Acceptance, Initial Operational Capability, site activation)Working autonomously with government customer, leading teams and projects, establishing/executing milestone and critical path schedulesExperience developing/reviewing life cycle management documentation (Transition Plans, Materiel Fielding Plans, etc.)Understanding of DoD and joint service acquisition instructions and policy

Basic Compensation: $155,000-$165,000 in Colorado
 

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
