Village Behavioral Health is a psychiatric residential treatment center that offers a full spectrum of treatment options for children and adolescents ages 10-17. A uniqueness about Village Behavioral Health is that we use nature as part of our therapeutic process. We are nestled in Louisville, TN (20 minutes from Knoxville) right on the Tennessee River spread out over 65 wooded acres.

We are currently recruiting for a Transitional Specialist.  This position will serve as a link between direct client services and provider contact.  Ensures effective educational communication with local schools, completes post-discharge calls to effectively gather performance improvement data, and act as an educational assistant in the classroom to provide additional intensive academic need.  The Transitional Specialist position is critical in carrying out Village Behavioral Health’s mission of changing the lives of the youth and families we serve.

Schedule: Monday-Friday Office Hours

Responsibilities:

• Support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.
• Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
• Effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
• Attend meetings and take accurate minutes.
• May responsible for accurate and timely physician credentialing.
• May direct and lead the work of others.
• May manage and coordinate administrative programs and office activities.
• Create spreadsheets, manage databases and prepare presentations, reports and documents as needed.
• Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls.
• May cover the reception desk when required.
• Calendar management, schedule appointments, update calendars and arrange staff meetings

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred. Valid driver's license required Must pass pre-employment drug screen, 7-year criminal background screen, fingerprint screen, MVR screen, work history and reference check
