Transmission Applications Analyst
**Employer Description** Georgia Power **Organization Description** **Job Title** : Transmission Applications Analyst **Reports** **to** : Tracey Wrighter **Location** : Georgia Power (GPC) Corporate Headquarters- 241 Ralph McGill Blvd. Atlanta, GA **Department** : Transmission Project Controls **Travel** : Up to 5% **Job Descriptions** This position is responsible for supporting the applications administrator and the point of contact for the scheduling, budgeting, and portfolio system software for the Georgia Power Project Management Organization. This role will serve as a liaison between the PMO and the SCS Technology Organization. Activities for this role will include application development/enhancements, data acquisition and maintenance, QA/QC of data and application changes, and end-user training and support. The Analyst will provide BI and Analytics reporting, data architecture and modeling solutions using Tableau and BI. **_Job Experience and Education:_** + Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, related Field) + 5+ Experience working with Application Support is required. + 5+ Experience working with relational databases, e.g., SYBASE, ORACLE, SQL Server, Access etc. is required. + Experience working with data analysis tools e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R is required. + Experience working in Electrical Utility or Energy field is preferred. + Experience writing in Tableau, BI Publisher is a plus + Experience working with Unifier + Experience working with Primavera is a plus. **Job Responsibilities** + System administration for GPC (P6, Team Member, Unifier, various CC entities & various ACL Groups). + Maintain control points within TEAMS, Unifier, and P6 related to compliance guidelines. + Data integrity for all scheduling and budgeting system tools (TEAMS, Unifier, PowerPlan, Team Member, Capital Databases, & P6) + Application support & testing (unit & UA) for multiple applications. + First line end user support for multiple applications. + Liaison to vendors for software support/upgrades. + Designs and develops BI and Analytics reporting, dashboard and visualization solutions by expanding or creating customer models and datasets using Tableau and BI Publisher. + Conducts Training/documentation for GPC’s Transmission Applications while supporting Southern Company initiatives. + Complex analysis of data for reporting and troubleshooting. + Adhoc reporting for decision making **_Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:_** + Organization, workload prioritization, and multi-tasking skills are required. + Working knowledge and understanding of software development technologies, methodologies, and associated tools + Working knowledge of application architectures (Web, Client Server, Batch, etc.) + Understanding of typical SOX controls is a plus. + Understanding of database support for Biztalk + Working knowledge of typical IT organization and business units + Awareness of energy industry trends, opportunities and challenges is a plus. + Adaptable and flexible in a changing and evolving environment. **Behavioral Attributes:** + Models **Our Values** : Safety First, Intentional Inclusion, Act with Integrity, and Superior Performance. + Demonstrates ethical conduct in all aspects of work. + Fosters a collaborative team environment focused on achieving project success. + Strong conflict resolution skills, able to address and resolve conflicts between individuals or functional areas. + Thrives on working with diverse groups to collaboratively achieve project goals. **Georgia Power** is the largest electric subsidiary of Southern Company (NYSE: SO), America's premier energy company.
