Key Responsibilities
Support the development of transmission services to meet client needs. Deliver engineering projects by creating detailed scopes and estimates, performing engineering calculations, developing detailed plan and profile design drawings, and modeling using highly specialized software: PLS-CADD. Design structures for high voltage transmission lines using PLS-POLE and PLS-TOWER. Design foundations for transmission structures using MFAD, HFAD, or LPILE. Engineer transmission line projects from the 'definition phase' through the 'implementation phase' to the 'in service phase' for up to 500 kV transmission lines and substation connections. Provide construction support and overall project engineering coordination, including managing outages. Prepare staged design reviews for clients in accordance with standards and maintain detailed documentation of designs. Coordinate staged installation and commissioning with the utility and subcontractors.Perform field reviews and respond to information requests from the site during construction. Ensure completion of project documentation, including as-builts, calculations, and return of data to the client. Maintain and enhance relationships with internal groups, external contractors, and clients. Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Orlando, Florida and some days remote.
Work Environment
Small engineering office in Lake Mary with a lead, two mid-levels, and a Jr engineer.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00
