POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Small Utilities team in Fort Worth, TX. Our team believes in serving our clients in all their power delivery needs with honesty and integrity. Training will be provided!
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Transmission Line Project Engineer, you’ll be entrusted with developing our team members, leading projects, advocating for our clients, and nurturing current connections. Your role will consist of spearheading transmission line design projects for electric cooperative, municipal, and public utility district clients while embodying our commitment to serving local public power utilities. The ideal candidate will assume responsibility for overseeing and executing projects within our department and developing team members in transmission design capabilities.
Take the helm on transmission projects while providing guidance and support to junior engineers and designersFormulate project scope documents, establish budgets, and create and maintain schedulesChair clients project meetings and facilitate effective communication between clients, managers, and internal teams to ensure project alignment with requirements, scope and scheduleAddress client inquiries spanning various technical areas and appropriately manage client expectationsCandidates should demonstrate the following:

Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or electrical engineeringFive (5) + years of experience in transmission line designA valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordDemonstrate proficiency in PLS-CADD design softwareDemonstrate proficiency in the NESC
Desired Education/Experience
Two (2) + years of experience leading engineering project teamsRegistered Professional EngineerExperience with preparing project work scope documents, schedules, budgets, and sequence of work for construction of projectsExhibit eagerness to expand expertise beyond transmission into other design disciplinesExperience performing substation, transmission and/or distribution design for electric cooperativesExperience with the RUS Transmission Design GuideAt POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
